During World War II, Rade Petrovic Kent was a young officer in General Mihailovic's Yugoslav Army. One of his missions was to rescue Allied airmen whose planes had been shot down, and to protect them from the Germans until they could fly back home.
500 American boys were saved by the Serbian patriot forces. In 1944 they all were evacuated from a secret airfield behind the German lines.
